Bracing is usually done by placing the diagonal members between the beams and columns. This frame system provides more efficient resistance against the earthquake and wind forces. A castle is a type of frame structure built in Europe and the Middle East during the Middle ages by European nobility , it has the combination of beams , columns and slabs to resist the lateral and gravity loads. In the beginning castles, were constructed out of wood,stone and mortar.The earlier the castle, the more wood was employed . The castles were both offensive and defensive structures; they provided a base from which raids could be launched as well as protection from enemies.
